Goddess of the hearth, embodies the patient and steady woman who finds comfort in solitufe and exudes a sense of intactness and wholeness.

Also know as Vesta, daughter of Kronos and Rhea. When the gods Apollon and Poseidon sought for her hand in marriage, Hestia refused and asked Zeus to let her remain an eternal virgin. He agreed and she took her place at his royal hearth, retaining her virginity forever. Her symbol is the hearth and fire, which was never allowed to go out. Young brides and newborn children were presented to her and she was invoked before each meal. Her temple in Rome was served by the young vestal virgins.
